The Tribes’ Little Sweden Conservation Area was within the burn area of the Beechie Creek fire in September 2020. The entire property burned, though parts only sustained light damage. Green trees are still present in places on the north side of the property.
Although prior to the fire the property was closed to the public as part of the Tribal-wide COVID-19 concerns, access to Little Sweden is expected to be further be delayed until fire hazards have been assessed throughout the property. A number of post-fire management actions are being considered.
