Hunting is permitted at Pine Creek, Oxbow, Forrest and Dunstan Conservation Areas.

The application period for Big Game Hunting Permits will open in the middle of June, 2025. Check this website for updated information. The random lottery draw will occur within the following 2 weeks and successful applicants will be notified by email.

Deer and elk hunting require a private-issue Hunting Permit specific to the Conservation Area. These are issued in limited numbers via random-draw lottery.

Bird hunting is allowed at Pine Creek and requires an Annual Bird Hunting Permit.

All hunters and visitors must fill out daily Property Access Permits. This liability waiver is in addition to a hunting permit.

All other wildlife is protected on the Conservation Areas and is not allowed to be hunted or harassed – including but not limited to: ground squirrels and other small mammals; predators such as coyotes, badgers, bobcats and cougars; reptiles such as snakes and lizards; and all non-game birds.

All hunters must follow Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW) regulations and seasons for each hunt.

At the Pine Creek Conservation Area, staff will be using vehicles to patrol the property throughout the hunting seasons. Be aware of the potential disturbance and carry your hunting permit with you at all times to show upon request.
