Camping
Camping is available at Pine Creek Conservation Area at Robinson Campground for tent, car, or RV camping. Recreationists planning to camp must utilize the online reservation system to reserve a site. This is a primitive site with no electrical hookups. Potable water is not available, and campers are advised to bring their own water or treat on-site available water (which may not be available during dry seasons). A vault toilet is on site. The campground is behind a locked gate, and only those with a reservation will be provided vehicular access to the campground (foot or pack animal traffic is still accessible.)
Primitive backpacking or horse-packing backcountry camping is authorized if at least one mile from the highway and county road. Camps should be out of site of the administrative road-trail system on the property. Campers must practice “Leave No Trace” ethics, and all personal items must be packed out, including trash. All visitors, camping or not, must register upon entering and leaving the property by filling out the cards at the kiosks on the property or by using the Daily Access Permit form.
Rattlesnake Cabin
Rattlesnake cabin is located 14.6 miles from Hwy 218. Staff are working to make the cabin available for recreational use in the future. Check back for further details.
ALL CAMPING IS SUBJECT TO SEASONAL FIRE CLOSURES. Be aware of the fire levels and have an escape route in mind at all times during your trip.
Public Camping is not allowed at any of the other Conservation Areas, which include Oxbow, Forrest, Dunstan, Little Sweden, Red Hills, or Austin Hot Springs.
